Job DescriptionRole Summary
Our client, a well-established mid-sized law firm with a strong regional presence, is seeking a Senior Employment Law Attorney to join its employment practice. This role involves advising employers on a broad range of employment law issues and representing clients in complex employment litigation.
The position requires substantial experience defending employers in matters involving discrimination claims, wage and hour disputes, class and representative actions, as well as trade secret and unfair competition matters. This individual will also play a leadership role in mentoring associates and contributing to the growth of the employment practice through business development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel and representation to employers across a wide range of employment law matters

Defend clients in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and related disputes

Handle class and representative employment actions under applicable laws

Represent clients in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies

Manage matters involving trade secrets and unfair competition

Develop and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor

Contribute to business development efforts, including maintaining and expanding a portable book of business

Deliver client trainings and presentations on employment law topics

Supervise and mentor associates within the practice
Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Active membership in a U.S. state bar (California licensure required)

Minimum of 8 years of employment law litigation experience

Demonstrated experience handling complex employment disputes, including discrimination and wage and hour matters

Experience representing clients in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and client advisory skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Ability to bring at least a partial portable book of business
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience at a large national law firm or a reputable regional or mid-sized firm

Compensation & Work Model

Base Salary: $225,000 – $275,000 annually

Incentive Compensation: Approximately 10%–20% of collected fees

Equity: Potential equity participation opportunities

Attorneys may be based in one of our client’s Bay Area offices, with occasional travel between locations as needed. The hiring need is immediate.
