Position Overview\n

CVS Health is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Vaccination Initiative as an Immunization Nurse Float. This patient-facing role is responsible for safely administering a variety of vaccines, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended immunizations, while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended immunizations.
  • \n

  • Assess patients before vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • \n

  • Follow CDC, state, and company immunization protocols and guidelines.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and vaccination records.
  • \n

  • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • \n

  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety standards.
  • \n

  • Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by CVS Health.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and store leadership to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • \n

  • Deliver outstanding patient care with professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
  • \n

  • Adapt to varying patient volumes, clinic workflows, and scheduling needs.
  • \n

  • Support community vaccination initiatives and public health programs.
  • \n

Required Qualifications\n

    \n
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • \n

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization or vaccine administration.
  • \n

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • \n

  • Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
  • \n

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • \n

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
  • \n

  • Candidate must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • \n

  • High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
  • \n

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications\n

  • Previous retail clinic or vaccination clinic experience.

  • Experience administering high-volume immunization programs.
