Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from buyout through closeout. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the project including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client relationships. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact with clients and work closely with superintendents and project teams to deliver successful projects.Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners’ representatives, architects, and subcontractors to support repeat business
- Manage client expectations and resolve conflicts fairly and effectively
- Oversee all financial aspects of the project including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability
- Handle project bidding, buyout, startup, jobsite management, and efficient closeout
- Manage subcontractor procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Minimize project risk through proactive management
- Implement and manage QA/QC procedures
- Collaborate with the Superintendent on pre-construction planning, schedule development, maintenance, and updates
- Provide regular reporting on schedule impacts and progress
- Ensure project safety standards are met through close coordination with the Superintendent
- Delegate tasks effectively and mentor Project Engineers and team members
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered)
- Minimum 7 years of commercial construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Project Manager role
- Experience managing projects valued at $25M+
- Proven ability to manage project teams of 1–10 members
- Experience working with fast-paced construction schedules
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and Type I construction means and methods
- Thorough understanding of AIA contracts (A102, A201), subcontracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and closeout procedures
- Proficiency with construction software such as Bluebeam, BIM, Primavera P6, and Procore
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- Passion for high-quality construction and delivering successful projects

Salary Range: $136,000 – $181,000 DOE (depending on experience)
