This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) eager to make a tangible difference under the supervision of SLP-CCC professionals. You’ll collaborate closely with certified Speech-Language Pathologists, practicing and refining your skills as you help students build communication and learning success.

The position starts on August 11 and continues through June 3, offering a stable, rewarding assignment. Working 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, you’ll enjoy a consistent schedule in a dynamic, supportive school environment near Van Nuys, California.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience or coursework supporting school-based SLP services preferred
  • Comfortable working in high school or junior high settings
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and support SLPs with student caseloads
  • Enthusiasm for supporting students in achieving their communication goals

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with students on treatment activities developed by SLPs
  • Assist with screening and assessment tasks under SLP supervision
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in team meetings as needed
  • Support SLPs in preparing therapy materials and activities
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment for student growth
