Job DescriptionOpportunity Overview

We are looking for a full-time Neurologist to join our collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine. This role involves general neurology while also establishing a neuro-palliative practice.

The position offers a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 0.8-1.0.

Position Details

  • Primarily an outpatient clinic role focused on general neurology.
  • Group call is conducted via telephone and shared among eight neurologists.
  • Participation in the neurology hospital consultation service is optional at a local medical center.
  • Required to work one day in Castro Valley and 2-3 clinic days in Berkeley, which serves as the specialty hub.
  • One day dedicated to virtual or home visits.
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
  • Be part of a multi-specialty medical group.
  • Join a large neurology department where all clinicians engage in general neurology while also pursuing subspecialty interests, fellowship training, or relevant experience.
  • Each clinician is supported by one medical assistant (MA).
  • Receive additional support from registered nurses (RNs) and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) for specific services.

Qualifications

  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
  • Experience or training in neuro-palliative care is essential.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted California Medical License is required.
  • A current DEA license is necessary.
  • While prior experience is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
