Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a build that matters

Join a tight-knit manufacturing team to assemble and integrate capital medical devices during an upcoming project phase that includes validation builds. You’ll take electromechanical sub-assemblies from bench to top-level chassis, integrate system towers, and run in-process checks that keep quality on track.

Project & Schedule

  • Project duration: 6–9 months
  • Day shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM; Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM

A day in the life

  • 6:00 AM — Open build packets, review SOPs/work instructions and assembly drawings, gather parts and tools.
  • Morning — Build mechanical and electromechanical sub-assemblies; torque fasteners accurately and document steps as you go.
  • Late morning — Integrate sub-assemblies into capital systems/towers; make clean, reliable connections for USB, mains power, HDMI, and Ethernet.
  • Afternoon — Perform in-process testing and basic functional checks; log results via computer (menu navigation, simple programming, and documentation).
  • Throughout the shift — Follow cGMP and quality-driven procedures, practice ESD-aware handling, communicate build issues to your supervisor and the engineering team, and suggest improvements to streamline future builds.

Tools & techniques you’ll use

  • Torque wrenches, precision screwdrivers, crimpers, pliers, and related hand tools
  • Assembly following SOPs and work instructions
  • System-level integration; no cable fabrication required

Where you’ll work

  • Mix of seated and standing tasks across the production floor and at the bench
  • No cleanroom suits required
  • Focus on in-process testing; a dedicated Quality team handles final QC

What you’ll bring

  • At least 3 years of medical device experience
  • Background in medical device, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly
  • Confidence with hand tools and step-by-step procedures
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation and simple programming/menu tasks
  • Comfort working in a small team setting
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience

Nice to have

  • Capital equipment or system-level assembly experience
  • Strong mechanical/electromechanical foundation
  • ESD experience

Physical expectations

  • Safely lift and handle components up to approximately 50 pounds
