Location: Burbank, California
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $41.00/Hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Days | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 40 Hours Weekly
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) to support a busy Acute Care Hospital surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience, knowledge of sterile techniques, and the ability to assist in a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety and surgical efficiency.
Required Qualifications
• Current BLS Certification
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent training
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Operating Room experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
Responsibilities
• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and infection control standards
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures
• Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures
• Organize surgical instruments and sterile supplies
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation
• Clean, sterilize, and restock operating rooms
• Monitor surgical equipment functionality
• Complete required documentation accurately
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
