Are you a seasoned automotive technician or dealership technical specialist who enjoys solving complex diagnostic challenges and helping others succeed? We are seeking a Technical Field Manager to provide advanced technical support to a network of automotive dealerships and serve as a key technical resource between dealers and the manufacturer.

This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in German automotive brands, especially Volkswagen (VW), Audi, or Mercedes-Benz, who thrives on troubleshooting difficult vehicle concerns, mentoring dealership teams, and driving long-term solutions.

What You’ll Do
\n
✔ Support approximately 17 dealerships throughout the Metro Bay Area
\n
✔ Partner directly with dealership technicians to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues
\n
✔ Manage and monitor open technical service cases through resolution
\n
✔ Investigate recurring technical concerns and perform root cause analysis
\n
✔ Develop detailed technical reports outlining findings, repair challenges, and recommended corrective actions
\n
✔ Act as the primary technical liaison between dealerships and the manufacturer
\n
✔ Help improve dealer repair processes and overall technical performance
\n
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
✅ 7–10+ years of automotive technical experience
\n
✅ Previous dealership technical support, field technical specialist, or dealer management experience
\n
✅ Strong background with Volkswagen or Audi preferred
\n
✅ Mercedes-Benz Master Technicians with extensive German automotive experience encouraged to apply
\n
✅ Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
\n
✅ Strong technical documentation and communication abilities
\n
✅ Ability to build strong relationships with dealership teams
\n
\n
Travel Details
\n
🚘 Primarily supporting dealerships within the Metro Bay Area
\n
🏨 Overnight travel approximately 1–2 nights per month
\n
✈️ Additional travel opportunities once or twice per year
\n
\n
