Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with a wide range of disabilities and learning needs
- Strong oral and written communication skills to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Experience implementing behavior support plans and utilizing positive interventions consistent with best practices
- Ability to adapt lessons and provide instructional support under the guidance of certified educators
- Flexibility to respond to diverse student needs in dynamic classroom environments
- Commitment to confidentiality and the highest ethical standards
- Strong organizational skills for data collection, progress tracking, and recordkeeping
- Familiarity with following IEPs to help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to one or more students, assisting with academic tasks and daily classroom activities
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to modify or reinforce learning materials
- Apply behavior intervention strategies and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive, respectful classroom culture
