Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 08/31/2026 for 10 weeks. Weekly pay: $486-$509 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 16 hours, days. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a short-term acute care setting. This assignment focuses on perioperative care and surgical support across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, assisting the surgical team
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase
- Prepare patients for surgery, including proper positioning and verification of equipment and supplies
- Anticipate and manage equipment, instruments, and supplies; coordinate flow of staff and resources
- Support intraoperative patient care planning and documentation, including post-procedure transition
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; operate facility information systems as needed (EPIC experience)
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Additional BLS (HS-BLS or RQIBLS) acceptable per policy
- Certifications: ACLS and PALS required; CNOR preferred
- Experience: Minimum one year of recent operating room experience; ortho, neuro, and trauma experience required; EPIC experience required
- Must be able to work in the operating room environment and rotate schedules as needed
