Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) – Fairfield, CA

Seeking a new opportunity within a school district? Spindle proudly collaborates with an outstanding school district in Fairfield, CA in search of a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team for the 2026–2027 school year!

Position Details:

  • Discipline: Special Education (Mild/Moderate)
  • Dates: 2026–2027 School Year
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Caseload: Elementary RSP split between two school sites; maximum caseload of 28 students
  • Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM with a 30-minute duty-free lunch
  • Setting: Elementary Resource Specialist Program (RSP)

Special Education Teacher Job Description:

  • Provide specialized academic instruction to elementary students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide targeted instruction and intervention aligned with student goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support student inclusion and academic success
  • Maintain accurate special education documentation and compliance
  • Support students through accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction

Pay & Benefits:

Requirements:

  • Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential (required)

Interview Process:

  • 10–15 minute screening call with a Spindle recruiter
