Job DescriptionA well-established, fast-paced law firm in Bakersfield, California is looking for a skilled Corporate Paralegal to support a diverse caseload. This role involves working across business transactions, litigation, estate planning, probate, employment, and regulatory matters.
This position is best suited for a highly organized professional who brings strong drafting abilities, consistent career tenure, and a commitment to delivering precise, high-quality work.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal setting
At least 3–5 years of stable tenure with one employer
Background in corporate or transactional law preferred
California Paralegal Certificate (required)
Bachelor’s degree
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Westlaw or similar research tools
Legal document management and e-filing systems
Responsibilities
Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents related to corporate and transactional matters
Assist attorneys with litigation, estate planning, probate, and employment-related cases
Organize and maintain client files and legal records
Perform legal research using Westlaw and similar databases
Manage client intake with professionalism and confidentiality
Monitor deadlines, filings, and compliance requirements
Support discovery, document production, and records management
Provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Intellectual property or healthcare regulatory work
Experience supporting complex or high-volume caseloads
