Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

What We’re Looking For:

  • California Special Education Teacher credential, with an emphasis in Moderate to Severe/Extensive Needs preferred
  • Experience supporting students with autism and other extensive needs in school settings
  • In-depth understanding of instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and IEP implementation
  • Strong communication abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration
  • Adaptability, patience, and a passion for student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and adapt curriculum for students with a range of moderate to severe disabilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with paraeducators, related service providers, and general education staff to design effective support plans
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages growth, independence, and self-advocacy
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding progress, achievements, and strategies for ongoing success
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed to ensure positive outcomes
