Job Title: Construction and Safety Manager
Location: 100% On-site

Overview
Responsible for construction management, safety, and quality on capital projects (retrofit/expansion of existing facilities, clean room installation, and equipment installation for semiconductor R&D cleanrooms) managed by a general contractor.
- Project Budget: ~$25 Million
- Duration: ~8 months
- Requires daily on-site coordination with contractors and safety/quality personnel
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee construction sites, contractors, and workers ensuring high safety and quality standards (goal: zero incidents)
- Partner with safety and quality teams to address concerns and ensure timely reporting and resolution of incidents
- Conduct investigations, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness
- Manage day-to-day construction coordination and contractor efficiency
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and identify/resolve deviations
- Coordinate change management, including cost estimates and approvals
- Monitor construction schedules and project progress
- Review weekly/monthly reports on cost, progress, and potential changes
- Coordinate safety, quality, and project update meetings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless execution
- Support permitting processes and building inspections
- Conduct quality assurance inspections during and post-construction
- Support onboarding of contractors and teams
- Drive safety programs (incident tracking, root cause, corrective actions)
- Provide KPI reporting (construction hours, safety metrics, progress updates)
- Perform other assigned duties

- Strong knowledge of construction technology, safety, and quality principles
- Experience in commercial construction, clean rooms, and chemical process installations
- Risk assessment and mitigation planning skills
- Strong planning and problem-solving ability
- Conflict management and critical thinking
- Leadership and multitasking capability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of construction management experience
- Experience in clean room and commercial construction environments
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- OSHA 30 Certification (mandatory)
- Experience with ASME, ACI, and construction standards
- Experience with accident investigations and reporting
- First Aid and CPR Certification
