JOB SUMMARY
The Temporary Driver / Delivery Worker provides on-call transportation, delivery, and logistical support across Tribal departments. This position is part of a centralized temporary worker pool and is assigned work based on operational needs, availability, and skill alignment. Assignments may vary in duration and schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Operate Tribal vehicles to transport goods, materials, or passengers as assigned
Complete scheduled and on-demand deliveries between Tribal facilities and external locations
Load, secure, and unload materials safely and efficiently
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic safety checks prior to use
Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and Tribal policies
Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain required documentation
Communicate with supervisors regarding schedules, delays, or issues
Provide general support for logistics and transport-related tasks as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Minimum one (1) year of driving or delivery-related experience
Valid California Drivers License with a clean driving record
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently
Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a tribal government or public sector environment
Familiarity with local roads and surrounding service areas
Experience operating light-duty trucks or transport vehicles

TRIBAL PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In accordance with applicable Tribal law and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians (PRCI) Administration provides employment preference to enrolled PRCI Tribal Members. To qualify, applicants must submit valid proof of enrollment. Tribal Members who meet the minimum qualifications will be given preference in hiring, promotion, transfer, and layoff decisions. During the interview process, PRCI Tribal Members will receive an additional 7.5 points (10% of the 75-point interview rubric). Non-PRCI Native American candidates will receive an additional 5 points (6.7% of the total points) in accordance with Indian Preference guidelines.
INDIAN PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In compliance with 25 CFR Part 276 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Sections 701(b) and 703(i), employment preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, and secondarily, to another qualified American Indian/Alaska Native Candidate.
