Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced patient account/self-pay collector to join our client's team. Your primary responsibility will be to follow up on unpaid patient fertility claim balances, ensuring a high level of patient-customer service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent patient-customer service.
- Make outbound calls to patients to collect open balances.
- Notify customers with high balances and mail past-due notices.
- Review and reconcile patient ledger and balances.
- Follow up on the status of payments.
- Itemize and print courtesy statements for patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum one-year billing and/or collections experience
- Fertility A/R experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of soft collection techniques.
- Compassionate, understanding, and patient-centric approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Data entry skills and typing speed of 40 wpm.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
