Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift contract at a high-volume, Level II Trauma facility in Long Beach, CA.
Details\n
- \n
- High-volume CT department with 2 Canon CT scanners (64-slice and 320-slice)
- Patient population spans all age groups, from neonates through geriatrics
- Work settings include adult and pediatric acute care, adult and pediatric outpatient, ICU, ED, and Level II Trauma
- Procedures include CT of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal system; vascular CTA; brain perfusion; 3D rendering; multiplanar reconstruction; and contrast administration
- 5x8-hour night shifts, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Blocked schedule runs Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday, with every other weekend required
- Epic EMR is used
- Tech assistant available; minimum of 2 designated CT Techs per shift
- Candidates may be required to float within the hospital based on census

Requirements\n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required; 3 years preferred
- ARRT (R), BLS, and CA license required (license required if applicable)
- Venipuncture license preferred
- Experience with Canon/Toshiba CT equipment required
- Experience in Level II Trauma, ICU, and Emergency Department settings required
- Proficiency in 3D rendering (MIP, SSD, volume rendering), multiplanar reconstruction, contrast preparation and administration, peripheral IV placement, venipuncture, and radiation safety
- 1 professional reference from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Previous permanent staff at this facility are not eligible

- First-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience are welcome to apply
- Orientation includes approximately 4 hours of non-billable allied module training completed via Epic, with completion documented by certificate or transcript
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted; candidates living within this radius should indicate so at time of consideration, as the local pay rate will apply
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be added after the submission process
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
