About Kinetic Clinical Research

Kinetic Clinical Research (“KCR”) is a rapidly growing, multi-site clinical research organization formed through the consolidation of several successful Southern California research sites. We partner closely with physicians to build high-quality, scalable clinical research programs that advance patient care while creating long-term professional and financial opportunities for our investigators.

We are expanding our dermatology research platform and are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Dermatologist to join KCR as a Principal Investigator (PI).

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a dermatologist who wants to:

  • Participate in cutting-edge dermatology clinical trials
  • Work in a well-resourced, research-first environment
  • Reduce administrative burden while maintaining clinical leadership
  • Join a growing organization with long-term upside and partnership potential

Role Overview

As a Principal Investigator, you will lead dermatology clinical trials and collaborate with KCR’s experienced operations, regulatory, recruitment, and quality teams. KCR provides the infrastructure — you provide clinical expertise and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Principal Investigator on dermatology clinical trials (e.g., psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, alopecia, vitiligo, skin infections, cosmetic dermatology, and other inflammatory or immunologic conditions)
  • Provide medical oversight and ensure participant safety and protocol adherence
  • Review and approve study protocols, informed consent forms, and safety reports
  • Supervise Sub-Investigators and collaborate with CRCs and clinical staff
  • Participate in Sponsor and CRO meetings, feasibility assessments, and monitoring visits
  • Support patient recruitment and retention through clinical engagement
  • Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, IRB requirements, and KCR SOPs

What We Offer

  • Turnkey research infrastructure (CRC support, regulatory, recruitment, pharmacy, QA, and IT)
  • Access to active and upcoming dermatology studies with leading Sponsors and CROs
  • Flexible engagement models (part-time, per-diem, or study-based)
  • Competitive hourly compensation
  • Minimal administrative burden — focus on clinical leadership
  • Transparent, physician-friendly leadership team

Growth & Partnership Potential

KCR is building a long-term dermatology research platform. Investigators who demonstrate strong study performance, leadership, and alignment with KCR’s mission may have opportunities to:

  • Serve as Lead Investigator across multiple studies
  • Participate in protocol selection and portfolio growth
  • Progress toward profit-sharing based on contribution and site performance

(Partnership opportunities are not guaranteed but are a core part of KCR’s growth strategy.)

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Dermatology
  • Active, unrestricted California medical license
  • Prior PI or Sub-I experience preferred but not required
  • GCP-trained or willing to complete GCP training
  • Interest in clinical research and collaborative growth

Why Dermatologists Choose KCR

  • We respect your time and expertise
  • We invest in systems and staff — not shortcuts
  • We view investigators as partners, not vendors
  • We are building something scalable, reputable, and physician-led
