Quality Engineer - $80-$85K (Direct Hire)
Location: Cypress, CA
Hours: 7am-3:30pm

Summary

Are you passionate about quality, problem-solving, and continuous improvement? We're looking for an entry level Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, and operational excellence. This is a dynamic position that partners closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to support mission-critical products and customer success.

Job Description

• Lead and administer Internal Corrective and Preventive Action Requests (CAR/PAR).
• Support customer corrective action requests, including root cause investigations, failure analysis, and corrective action reporting.
• Perform internal quality audits and support quality management system compliance.
• Assist with external audits, including AS9100 and customer audits.
• Develop and track quality metrics for management review.
• Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures, forms, and quality documentation.
• Support procurement and component specifications through detailed documentation and control drawings.
• Coordinate and participate in failure analysis activities and external laboratory testing.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and product excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, suppliers, and customers.
• Train employees on quality procedures and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant quality, engineering, manufacturing, or inspection experience.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Knowledge of electronics, microelectronics, or component manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality and manufacturing standards such as MIL-STD, IPC, or related specifications.
• Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, and Microsoft Forms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for innovation, technology, and continuous improvement.
