Position Summary
Responsible for performing in-process correction of foundry discontinuities by manual welding.
1- Day Shift Opening- Hours are from 7:00am - 3:30pm- Monday through Friday- Overtime work is required depending on the department demands. Must have the flexibility to work nights/weekends.
Position Salary Range(DOE): $26.00 - $40.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the welding operations on investment castings components using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) method.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate welding on castings per specifications
- Visually Inspect welded castings for integrity and customer requirements
- Repairs castings cosmetically as needed, ensuring quality welds and visual quality of castings. Common welds include groove, slot, build up, weld of windows, etc.
- Maintains welding work area, equipment & tools ensuring a efficient, organized and safe work environment
- Collaborates with engineers and other team members to address issues with castings, possible solutions or improvements.
- Adheres to safety protocols and company regulations throughout all welding operations
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum 5 years of experience of welding with focus on investment castings aerospace manufacturing.
- Proficient in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
- Proficient welding with all alloys, Nickel, Cobalt, Stainless Steel, Aluminum
- Strong ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high quality results
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure
- Welding certifications
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with other team members
- Proficient in basic arithmetic.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.

- Regularly lifts 35 lbs.
- This job does require some repetitive motions of the hands and fingers to perform the welding functions, lift castings, pull / push as required to get the castings set up for welding.
- Characteristics-noise level is usually moderate
- Specific Vision abilities required by this job includes near vision 20/20 or 20/25
