We seek a mechanically minded individual looking for an opportunity to join an efficient auto service center team! Our successful automotive technician candidate understands vehicle electrical and computer systems and is able to properly diagnose and fix repairs. $65,000 - $70,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Follow a checklist-based approach to comprehensively examine all vehicle systems, such as the engine, transmission, air conditioning, and brake systems
- When needed, conduct routine maintenance such as checking fluids, rotating tires, replacing brake pads, and oil changes
- Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes
- Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships
- Facilitate customer satisfaction and repeat business by following all manufacturer specifications for vehicle systems repairs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus
- Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary
- Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred
