Job DescriptionLHH is partnering with a respected law firm seeking a Junior Litigation Assistant to support its busy litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in legal support while gaining hands-on experience with litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Prepare and proofread routine legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
- Assist with court filings, including California state court e-filing.
- Track deadlines and submit documents for docketing.
- Organize and maintain case files and litigation documents.
- Assist with trial and arbitration preparation.
- Prepare spreadsheets, charts, binders, and other case-related materials.
- Coordinate attorney travel and manage time-entry support.
- Utilize document management and case management systems, including NetDocuments and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Paralegal certificate is a plus.
- 1+ year of litigation legal assistant or junior paralegal experience preferred.
- Familiarity with California court e-filing procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hybrid schedule with one remote day per week after 90 days onsite in the beginning in Newport Beach, CA.
- Pay: This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $55,000 to $65,000 annual salary and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans.
