Catch the Wave with Surf Thru Express Car Wash
Surf Thru Express is seeking a strategic Director of Hiring and Training to drive operational excellence for our rapidly growing multi-site express car wash operations. This is a high-impact leadership role, not a typical administrative position. You will be responsible for creating the scalable systems that identify, onboard, and develop the teams with a focus on the systems that build great managers and high-performing sites across 45+ locations in the Western U.S.
The Role
As the Director of Hiring and Training, you will directly affect company-wide performance by owning:
- Scalable Recruiting Pipelines: Build and manage high-volume recruiting systems that keep a "ready-now" bench of leadership talent for existing sites and new market entries.
- Operational Training Systems: Design and enforce the technical SOPs and certification programs that ensure "The Surf Thru Way" is executed consistently across all regions.
- Leadership Development: Architect the career paths and training modules that turn high-potential employees into elite Site Managers and Area Managers.
- New Store Opening (NSO) Support: Lead the ground-game for staffing and training during new store launches to ensure day-one operational excellence.
- Performance Metrics: Directly impact labor efficiency, membership conversion, and customer service scores through targeted field-level training.

- Proven Builder: You have 5+ years of leadership experience in the car wash industry.
- Systems-Minded: Experienced in implementing LMS (learning management software) platforms and creating standardized training curricula that work at scale.
- Field-First Leader: You are a coach who enjoys spending time at the sites, working directly with teams to improve real-world performance.
