Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school or childcare setting
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
- Ability to assist students with academic, behavioral, and social support according to individualized needs
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or Paraprofessional certification preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction, materials preparation, and student supervision
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with learning differences or additional needs
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Encourage students’ engagement, participation, and independence
- Support classroom management techniques and help implement behavioral interventions as directed
- Assist with data tracking and reporting on student progress as needed
