About the Opportunity
A growing coffee and beverage retailer is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations, develop team members, and create an exceptional customer experience.
This role is ideal for a hospitality-minded leader who enjoys coaching teams, driving operational excellence, and creating a positive environment for both customers and employees. The Assistant Store Manager works closely with the Store Manager to support all aspects of the business, including staffing, service standards, operational execution, and team development.

Position Overview
The Assistant Store Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team and helps oversee daily store operations. This leader supports staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, inventory management, and customer service initiatives while maintaining company standards and operational excellence.
When the Store Manager is not present, the Assistant Store Manager serves as the leader on duty and is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Support and coach team members to deliver exceptional customer service
Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new employees
Create a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment
Provide timely coaching and performance feedback
Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and integrity
Operations Management
Support opening, closing, and daily operational procedures
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and labor management
Maintain operational standards, cleanliness, and organization
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Support execution of promotions, programs, and operational initiatives
Customer Experience
Create a welcoming environment for customers
Support service recovery and customer satisfaction initiatives
Maintain high standards for product quality and service execution
Respond to customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Help build customer loyalty through consistent hospitality
Business Performance
Assist in monitoring sales, labor, inventory, and operational metrics
Support cash handling, inventory management, and loss prevention procedures
Maintain product availability and operational readiness
Utilize reporting tools to identify opportunities for improvement
Support achievement of store performance goals
Ideal Candidate Profile
Previous leadership experience in retail, coffee, restaurant, or food service operations preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience coaching and developing team members
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude and team-first mentality
Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
