Job DescriptionManufacturing Technician – CNC Operator

Location: San Diego, CA 92121

Schedule: First Shift | Overtime & Weekends as Needed

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Manufacturing Technician to operate and set up Haas Vertical Milling Machines, with some Fanuc equipment. The role supports production, new product development, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC Vertical Milling Machines independently.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and machine issues.
• Perform part inspections using calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other precision tools.
• Ensure parts meet drawing specifications and quality standards.
• Support new product runs, first articles, tooling, and machine maintenance.
• Participate in Lean activities, including 5S, SQDCC, and Hour-by-Hour programs.
• Train employees on machine operation and support Lead responsibilities when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including Email and Excel.
• 3–5 years of Haas Vertical Milling experience.
• 2+ years of Haas setup experience for new product runs.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot CNC programs.
• Fanuc and CMM experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing or First Article experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Available to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and work in tight spaces.
