Based in the Lancaster, CA area, this position focuses on students in 2nd to 3rd grade within an Extensive Support Needs (ESN) caseload. You’ll work alongside a collaborative education team to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every student has the chance to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
- Experience or strong interest in special education, particularly serving elementary-age students with extensive support needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, positive classroom culture
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver instruction that is differentiated, engaging, and aligned with IEP goals
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to maximize student growth
- Manage documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Create a safe, motivating environment tailored to students’ academic and social-emotional needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and ongoing professional development
