Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Duties / Responsibilities:
This role will take on a project developing of a comprehensive, strategic, and user-centered communications approach across external and internal platforms, including developing long-range content planning tools and producing ready-to-use communications materials that support program awareness, community engagement, and internal information-sharing. Example of duties: Develop a 12-month social media content calendar for designated external-facing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, or similar). Draft platform-appropriate content for use on external social media channels, including clear, accessible, and audience-appropriate post copy. Ensure content is accurate, customer-focused, and consistent with ACCSS branding and public-sector communication standards. Incorporate feedback from program, policy, or communications stakeholders. Ensure all materials comply with applicable public-sector communication requirements.
Special Request / Skills / Additional Notes AExperience developing and managing social media content and editorial calendars. Strong writing and editing skills for multiple platforms and audiences. Knowledge of public information, media relations, and digital communication best practices. Ability to research, synthesize information, and translate complex material into clear, public-facing content. Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines. Bilingual Spanish language skills (English/Spanish) are desirable but not required.
Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, English, business administration, or a closely related field.
AND
Experience:
The equivalent of two (2) years of experience in journalism, public relations, media, social media strategy, marketing, advertising, or closely related field which included the development and editing of a variety of documents, publications and/or news releases and the exposure of working with media representatives in the coordination of public information and other related program activities.
