Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, in-person role involves working closely with students, staff, and educators, ensuring equal access to education for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Qualifications:
- Valid 4.0 or higher score on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) is required
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Solid understanding of interpreter ethics and FERPA/confidentiality guidelines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Adaptable and reliable with excellent time-management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person interpretation services between students, teachers, and school personnel during instructional and extracurricular activities
- Facilitate clear communication in classrooms, assemblies, meetings, and special events
- Assist with educational access by accurately conveying spoken and signed content
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development as needed
