Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for individual patients or assigned patient groups in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
- Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines to ensure comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment
- Apply critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in all aspects of patient care and staff supervision
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; charting system must be documented for each work history entry
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior acute care facility experience
