We are currently hiring Substitute Teachers, Aides, and Assistants, for our associated schools in the areas of Sacramento & Yolo County and the surrounding areas for upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering educational activities that support child's development
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
- Prepare and manage classroom materials
- Support students’ individual learning and development through observation and documentation
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Must be able to assist other school sites in the surrounding areas of YOLO County (if needed)
The Teacher prepares the classroom materials and plans providing quality learning experiences for young children assisting in the implementation of methods that promote independence, curiosity, decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity, and problem solving in young children.
Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children.
Duties:
- Provides support in the classroom/outdoor play to ensure a safe and educational environment.
- Assists the classroom in maintaining the hygiene and personal needs of the children.
- Assists with weekly planning and implementation of daily educational activities for children.
- Assist in preparing classroom materials.
- Assist in sanitizing and maintaining a clean environment.
- Makes observations (written and/or verbal notations) of the children.
- Supports the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child.
- Maintains good communication with parents and co-workers.
- Must be able to assist with cleaning; sanitize, disinfect, sweep, mop and vacuum.
Takes advantage of all educational opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications:
- A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to work with diverse student groups
- Availability Monday through Friday for full-time positions; part-time candidates must be available at least 3 full days per week if part- time
- minimum of 12 ECE units
- Experience in a Head start, Montessori/ Private Childcare Center and Child Development setting is a PLUS.
Must have open availability and available 5 days a week.
12 Units completed required
