Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Orange, CA 92868
Start Date: June 30, 2026
Location: Orange County, California
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. Weekends scheduled per facility needs and may exceed every other weekend. Orientation includes 72 hours. Guaranteed hours with potential for one call-off per two-week pay period.

- Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Very high-risk labor and delivery unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, multiples, fetal anomalies, IUFD, diabetes, and preterm labor
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
- Free parking and professional scrubs provided for the unit
- 13-week assignment with opportunity to work in a high-acuity tertiary care environment
- Opportunity to utilize advanced labor and delivery skills including circulating for cesarean sections, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and managing complex antepartum patients
Requirements:
- Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers cannot be considered)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required; AWHONN Advanced preferred (NCC EFM certification accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN)
- Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
- Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
- Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
- Proficiency in antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, cervical cerclage, D&C procedures, and external fetal monitoring
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
- LA fire card within the last 30 days required
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
