IMS provides custom cut metals for multiple industries including Aerospace; Energy; Semiconductor; Transportation; Construction; Medical Device, and Mining. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Counter Sales Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in counter sales, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient sales operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the counter sales team to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Train and mentor new and existing sales staff to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure product availability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales counter environment.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Collaborate with management to develop sales strategies and promotional activities.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Counter Sales Lead or similar role in retail or sales environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused with a problem-solving attitude.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in sales or management are a plus.
