As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping very young children reach their developmental milestones. You’ll work 40 hours per week, collaborating closely with families, educators, and specialized teams to deliver targeted support. Your expertise will guide children on their path to success, setting the groundwork for lifelong learning and participation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure by start date)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric or infant populations, preferably within school environments
- Strong understanding of sensory-motor and developmental frameworks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for teaming with educators, families, and community providers
- Organizational skills to efficiently manage caseload and required documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate infants’ functional abilities and needs in conjunction with IEP or IFSP goals
- Design and implement individualized intervention plans using evidence-based practices
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services in classroom and natural settings
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with school and program policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide insights on student progress
