Job DescriptionAbout the Team
You will join a small, collaborative engineering team focused on next-generation product development. The group includes a mix of senior and mid-level engineers led by a Staff Engineer. This team operates in a highly R&D-driven environment, with an emphasis on innovation and hands-on experimentation.
This role is being added to support increased lab activity, as there are currently no technicians on the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on lab role supporting electrochemical research and development efforts. Key responsibilities include:
- Execute aqueous electrochemical experiments
- Collect, document, and share experimental data with engineering teams
- Support electrochemistry builds and testing activities
- Perform incoming material inspections, including documentation and characterization
- Assist with general lab operations and technical support
Your day-to-day work will primarily focus on electrochemical testing, along with some inspection-related activities.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in:
- Laboratory environments or
- Medical device or engineering settings
- Strong preference for candidates with electrochemical testing experience
- Open to recent graduates with relevant hands-on internship or academic lab experience
- Ability to follow procedures, execute experiments, and work independently
- Detail-oriented, especially with data collection and documentation
- Comfortable working in an R&D-focused, fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Technical Exposure (Training Available)
- Inspection tools such as Keyence systems
- Optical measurement techniques
- Volume measurement methods for panels and materials
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Flexible start time within one hour
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
