Job Description
As a Cleanroom Technician, you will be responsible for supporting daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will work diligently to achieve assigned production goals and address unscheduled peaks in workload to ensure timely product release and avoid back orders. Collaborating with the Team Leader, you will detail critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications, while taking corrective action for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products. Your role will involve performing in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products, addressing line issues and other production problems, and maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). You will also use computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory systems as required to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records.
Responsibilities
- Support daily production and packaging activities following GMP and SOPs.
- Work towards achieving assigned production goals and manage unscheduled workload peaks.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader to detail critical raw materials and in-process procedures.
- Perform corrective actions for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Address line issues and production problems, notifying the Team Leader of required corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with GDP.
- Utilize MRP inventory systems to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records.
Essential Skills
- At least four years of previous assembly/packaging experience.
- Experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Understanding of SOPs and GDP, with the ability to provide detailed examples of their use.
- Knowledge of line clearances, machine operation, quality assurance, packaging, inspection, computer operation, and GMP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with coagulation-based manufacturing processes is beneficial.
- Familiarity with GDP, GMP, GLP, FDA, and ISO standards.
- Knowledge of qualification and validation trials is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems preferred.

Work Environment
This position offers one opening on the first shift from 6am to 2:30pm. The dress code requires pants; leggings, makeup, and lipstick are prohibited. Necklaces must be tucked into shirts, and side shields are required for glasses. The room can be loud, but ear protection and ear plugs are provided. Headphones and cell phones are not allowed on the manufacturing floor. Overtime flexibility is important, with some mandatory overtime after training. Reliability is crucial to avoid bottlenecks in the process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
