Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential with eligibility to serve moderate to severe or extensive needs students
- Proven background as a Special Education Teacher or Autism Specialist in a school or clinical setting
- Experience developing and leading individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Expertise in evidence-based strategies for supporting students with autism spectrum disorders and significant learning differences
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instruction tailored to each student’s strengths, needs, and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and adapt plans as needed
- Deliver direct instruction, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional support
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, data review, and ongoing professional development
