Brody & Shemwell, APC is a well-established A-V rated firm located in Downtown San Diego (Little
Italy) with high-profile corporate clientele. The firm’s practice specializes in business and commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and creditor rights.
The firm is seeking an associate attorney with one to three years of relevant litigation experience. The ideal
candidate will have strong analytical skills, be diligent, have excellent oral and written communication skills,
be a detail-oriented critical-thinker, and be able to work independently, taking pride in his or her work
product.

Qualifications
- JD from accredited law school
- Admitted to the State Bar of California
- One year of experience in civil litigation
- Bankruptcy experience preferred
General Responsibilities
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and related documents
- Legal research
- Preparing research memoranda
- Attending court hearings
- Drafting and responding to discovery
- Work closely with partners on assigned cases
