Quality Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with at least 3 years of experience in mechanical inspection within the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and vision systems/comparators. Experience with AS9100 standards and aerospace industry requirements is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanical inspections on aerospace parts with precision.
- Utilize inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and vision systems.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with manufacturing engineering, inspection personnel, and shop floor employees.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and adhere to AS9100 and aerospace industry requirements.
- Engage in continuous improvement practices such as Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Enterprise.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical inspection within the aerospace sector.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably ABAS.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CALYPSO and Gear Pro software is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Enterprise practices.
- Knowledge of GD&T and quality assurance processes.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cerritos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
