  • Evaluate performance versus cost tradeoffs to support design decisions.
  • Design and develop new reactor systems and components using knowledge of machine design, mechanics, thermal systems, and fluid behavior.
  • Perform analytical and numerical evaluations to assess designs.
  • Manage prototyping, documentation, and manufacturing activities for reactor designs, including preparation of drawings and coordination with vendors and machine shops.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving existing reactor hardware and work with engineering teams to implement improvements that enhance productivity and yield.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in mechanical design. An advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of mechanical design involving high-vacuum systems and components.
  • Previous experience with semiconductor equipment, accelerators, vacuum electronics, or similar systems is strongly desired.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and PLM tools including Teamcenter.
  • Extensive experience with manufacturing methods and hands-on familiarity with common industrial machine tools.
  • Strong understanding and experience designing electromechanical systems.
  • Creative, curious, and hands-on mindset with a strong interest in working directly with hardware designs.

‘BONUS’ QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Experience with plasma-based processing or reactor systems
  • Background working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with analytical or numerical modeling/simulation methods
  • Experience supporting designs from R&D into production environments

INCENTIVES & BENEFITS:

  • Up to $225K base salary
  • Annual bonus
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage
  • Flexible spending account options
