Job Description
We are working with a well-established law firm in Los Angeles seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation practice.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial disputes within a collaborative, high-performing team, with direct exposure to partners and meaningful responsibility from the outset.
The Role
You will work on a broad range of complex commercial real estate and business litigation matters, primarily representing companies and property owners. The position offers hands-on experience across all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts, with clear scope for development within a structured and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex commercial real estate and business litigation matters
- Litigate breach of contract, business tort, and partnership disputes, including matters involving fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and unfair business practices
- Handle commercial real estate disputes, including unlawful detainer, breach of lease, guaranty enforcement, CAM and tax reconciliations, and lease interpretation
- Advise on broader property-related disputes and risk issues
- Support matters involving construction defect claims, partition actions, and mechanic’s lien and bond claims
- Work on ADA compliance matters, habitability claims, and premises liability litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Support depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
- Collaborate closely with partners on litigation strategy and client management
Requirements
- Admitted to the California Bar
- Experience in commercial litigation (real estate exposure strongly preferred)
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Comfortable managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Motivated to take ownership and develop within a high-level practice
