**Job Title: Memory Care Director**

**Position Overview:**
The Woodlake Senior Living Community is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Director to lead and manage our Memory Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for enriching the lives of individuals facing memory challenges, including Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The Memory Care Director will play a crucial role in creating a safe, activities-rich, and supportive environment for residents and their families.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and oversee personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident while promoting dignity, independence, and engagement.
- Lead and manage the memory care team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure highest quality care.
- Foster a nurturing environment by designing, coordinating, and facilitating activities and programs that enhance residents’ quality of life and cognitive function.
- Serve as the primary liaison with residents' families, providing updates, support, and education on dementia care best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, therapists, and staff to monitor and evaluate residents’ medical and emotional well-being.
- Actively engage in community outreach to promote the Memory Care Program and educate the community on memory care topics.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, nursing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Certification in dementia care or memory care program management is an asset.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a memory care or assisted living environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
