Job Title: Operator I
Location: Sylmar, CA (Onsite)
Contract Duration: Until 02/26/2027
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Job Summary
The Operator I is responsible for assembling, repairing, testing, and inspecting implantable medical devices in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. The role requires following detailed work instructions, maintaining quality standards, documenting production activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while complying with FDA, QMS, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, test, and inspect implantable medical devices.
- Perform production tasks following standardized work instructions.
- Read and interpret written procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation.
- Ensure product traceability and compliance with quality standards.
- Operate electronic data collection systems and basic computer applications.
- Handle small components using excellent manual dexterity.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow GMP, QMS, EMS, and safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and production teams.
- Meet daily production and quality goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
- Cleanroom experience preferred.
- Ability to use microscopes and precision hand tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
