Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Irvine, CA 92606

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension)

Domain: Manufacturing / Maintenance / CNC Equipment

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00/Hr. On W2

Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

(Training will be conducted on 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM shift for several months)

Deadline: 7/20/2026



Skills Required

Primary (Must-Have):

  • 7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience maintaining and repairing CNC and production machinery
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and machine testing procedures
  • Experience with machine setup, calibration, alignment, and modifications
  • Knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry
  • Experience using precision measuring and testing equipment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate work orders and prioritize maintenance activities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment


Secondary (Good to Have):

  • Aerospace equipment maintenance experience
  • Pump and valve overhaul experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Welding experience (arc and acetylene)
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and electronic theory
  • Forklift operator certification
  • Hazardous material handling experience
  • Experience using computer software for reports and spreadsheets


Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly complex maintenance and repair activities related to facilities, production equipment, and CNC machinery. This role supports manufacturing operations through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machine installation, and equipment modifications while ensuring optimal performance and reliability.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Setup and prepare CNC machine tools using manufacturer specifications and engineering data
  • Perform calibrations, adjustments, and modifications to equipment
  • Conduct test runs and troubleshoot complex analog and digital control systems
  • Repair and maintain conventional machine tools including mills, lathes, shapers, planners, and jig bores
  • Design and fabricate specialized tooling and equipment as required
  • Train and support machinists and production personnel on machine operations
  • Perform major repairs requiring precise alignment and complex assembly
  • Install and relocate machinery, including air and water lines
  • Assist with design, installation, and maintenance of hydraulic test stands and fixtures
  • Setup and operate welding equipment
  • Calibrate and verify newly installed or rebuilt equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems and wiring components
  • Install and maintain transformers, power panels, relays, switchboards, and related devices
  • Recommend material requirements and determine project timelines
  • Utilize precision testing equipment for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Coordinate maintenance work orders and manpower requirements
  • Create and maintain reports using computer software
  • Support hazardous material handling, inventory, compliance, and disposal activities
  • Provide technical guidance on chemical safety and compliance
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of related maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Possess required maintenance tools
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Experience with pump and valve overhaul procedures
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics technology
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes
  • Knowledge of electronic theory related to CNC machinery
  • Welding experience
  • Forklift certification
  • Hazardous materials handling experience
  • Experience with computer applications and spreadsheet software
