Job Description

Job Description

RP Defense Law, APC is hiring a hands-on AI systems builder to build our Claude workspace for our criminal defense law firm.

This is not a consulting role. We do not need someone to give us general advice about AI. We need someone who can sit with our team, understand how our firm works, and build the actual system.

We are a California criminal defense law firm handling serious state and federal criminal cases. We use MyCase, Lawmatics, Google Workspace, and Claude. We need Claude organized and built in a way that supports our daily work.

The person we hire will work directly with our team member Natalia and the owner of the firm to build the Claude system from the ground up.

We are not looking for someone who only knows how to write prompts. We are looking for someone who can build a working AI-supported operating system for a busy criminal defense law firm.

This will begin as a project-based role. Ongoing monthly support may be available after the initial build.

Responsibilities:

The Work Includes:

  • Building the structure of our Claude workspace.

  • Creating separate work areas for intake, consultations, client communication, legal drafting support, case summaries, staff training, SOPs, marketing, social media content, follow-up systems, and internal operations.

  • Creating reusable prompts, templates, checklists, and workflows for the team.

  • Interviewing the owner and staff to understand how the firm actually works.

  • Turning messy information, notes, preferences, processes, and examples into clean instructions that Claude can use.

  • Building workflows for different team members, including intake, client engagement, office administration, marketing, and attorney support.

  • Creating staff-facing instructions so the team knows exactly when and how to use Claude.

  • Testing the workflows and fixing them until they actually work.
Training Natalia so she can maintain and update the system after the initial build.

  • Creating a written map of the system so the firm is not dependent on the builder forever.

  • This position requires someone who is practical, organized, detail-oriented, and able to build usable systems without overcomplicating things.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience building AI workflows, prompt libraries, automations, internal knowledge systems, SOPs, or business operating systems.

  • Strong experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools.

  • Excellent writing and documentation skills.

  • Ability to organize large amounts of information into clear workflows.

  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.

  • Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and improve systems.

  • Ability to explain the system clearly to non-technical team members.

Preferred Experience:

  • Law firm, legal operations, litigation support, or professional services experience.

  • Experience with MyCase, Lawmatics, Google Workspace, Zapier, Make, Notion, Airtable, or similar tools.

  • Experience creating SOPs, staff training materials, intake workflows, client communication templates, or internal business systems.
