We are currently seeking a compassionate, attentive, and reliable caregiver to provide 1:1 direct support for a client.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Compensation
- $20/hour

Position Responsibilities
The caregiver will provide continuous one-on-one supervision and support while following a structured care plan to ensure the client’s safety, emotional well-being, and medical needs are met.
1:1 Care Plan Guidelines (Strict Implementation Required)
Continuous Supervision
- Client must remain within direct line of sight at all times
- Do not leave Wendy unattended for any reason
- Stay actively engaged—no distractions (phone use prohibited while supervising)

Mood Regulation
- Closely monitor mood and behavior
- Provide calm, consistent reassurance and redirection as needed
- Maintain a quiet, structured, and low-stimulation environment

Diabetes Management
- Check blood sugar levels as scheduled and document immediately
- Administer insulin exactly as prescribed
- Monitor for signs of hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia and respond appropriately

Engagement & Activities
- Encourage participation in activities such as:
- Walking
- Painting
- Music
- Promote positive interaction and participation throughout shift.

Physical Monitoring
- Observe and report any knee discomfort, fatigue, or physical concerns
- Assist with mobility/safety as needed.
Documentation Requirements
Caregiver must complete a Daily Progress Report after each shift including:
- Overall Mood: Brief description (calm, anxious, etc.)
- Behavior: Any changes, triggers, and interventions used
- Diabetes Care: Blood sugar checks, insulin administered, concerns noted
- Activities: Participation and engagement level
- Physical Status: Knee discomfort/fatigue observations
- Supervision/Safety: Confirmation 1:1 maintained; note any incidents
- Summary: Short statement of how the day went overall
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Experience with caregiving or direct support preferred
- Experience with diabetes care/insulin administration preferred
- Patient, calm, dependable, and attentive
- Able to follow structured care plans precisely
- Strong observation and documentation skills
