We have a great opportunity to be part of a well-established and reputable company in the City of Industry, CA. We are currently seeking General Assemblers for a hardware manufacturing company with a large inventory of simple to customized beautiful doorknobs. If you are highly motivated and have great energy, we would like you to join our team!

Schedule:1st shift starts at 5 am / 6 am, Monday-Friday plus possible overtime.

Pay rate: $18.50

The assembler is responsible for a sequence of operations to correctly assemble door lock mechanisms. The assembler must be able to use a variety of hand tools — e.g., pliers, air tools, hand tools, drills, fixtures, etc.

Responsibilities:

· An assembler needs to follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to their next order.

· Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (Top to bottom).

· Start with the external assembly process.

· Place Knob/lever on worktable

· Attach plastic washers and grease needs to be added.

· Place shims, plates, and springs. (Depending on requested item)

· Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function (verify that installation is not too tight nor to lose) Team lead can assist trainee with an accurate feel of a correct tightness)

· Add springs/spindles to the handle (make adjustments as needed)

· Proceed with assembling the inside component (Repeat 1-10 instruction)

Requirements:

High School Diploma preferred.

2+ years of Warehouse or Assembling experience

Ability to pass E-Verify, background, and drug tests.

Must have a resume for interview consideration.

Must have great attention to detail.

Must know how to work with hand and power tools.

Ability to stand for long hours, sit, kneel, pull/push, and lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.

Understand and use personal protective equipment (ear, eye/sleeve protection)

Ability to listen and hear to receive instructions, speak on the phone, and hear safety/fire alarms.

Great manual dexterity to operate buttons, knobs, and toggle switches on machinery.
