Gold Coast Baking Company is seeking a full-time Industrial Mechanic for its Santa Ana, CA facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and supporting the Maintenance/Engineering team, the Industrial Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, production lines, conveyors, ovens, and facility systems. This role ensures safe and reliable operations with minimal downtime in a food manufacturing environment regulated by HACCP, USDA, and GMP standards.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment including conveyors and ovens
- Perform welding, fabrication, plumbing, and general facility repairs including HVAC, lighting, and dock equipment
- Set up, change over, and start up production lines as needed
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Respond promptly and safely to maintenance calls in production areas, on ladders, and in varied temperature conditions
- Collaborate with team members to support maintenance and engineering operations
- Work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required to ensure continuous operations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of plant maintenance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with gearboxes, motors, sprockets, couplings, bearings, fuses, relays, photo eyes, proximity switches, controls, and power supplies
- Ability to work independently while being dependable, organized, and team-oriented
- Commitment to work safely and comply with HACCP, USDA, and GMP standards
