Senior Instructional Designer (Contract)
Contract: 1 year (extendable)/Hybrid
We are hiring a Senior Instructional Designer to lead the design and delivery of technical training programs within the utilities sector. This is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on building high-impact operational training for field and technical teams.
Key Skills Required
- Instructional Design (ADDIE model, end-to-end course development)
- Front-End Analysis (FEA), Task Analysis, Training Needs Assessment
- Strong experience designing technical / industrial training programs
- Instructor-Led Training (ILT) design & facilitation
- Blended learning design (ILT + eLearning + job aids)
- Curriculum development & assessment design
- Project scheduling and training delivery management
- Stakeholder collaboration with SMEs and operations teams
- Mentoring junior Instructional Designers
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline and MS Office tools
Must-Have Experience
- 5+ years in Instructional Design
- 2+ years in a senior/lead or mentoring role
- Experience in utilities, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, or similar technical environments
- Proven ability to manage training projects end-to-end
Role Focus
- Build and deliver technical, compliance-driven training programs
- Lead ILT and blended learning solutions for operational teams
- Support workforce development in a highly regulated environment
- Ensure training quality, consistency, and effectiveness
