Overview

Emergency Vehicle Technician (Fire Truck)– Palm Springs, CA - 1st Shift

Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician (Fire Truck) in Palm Springs, CA.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $32.00-$36.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications!

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • EVT Certification required (Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification)
  • 2+ years’ experience working on Fire trucks and/or ambulances
  • Must have the ability to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus
  • Technicians must own basic set of hand tools and wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use
  • ASE or OEM Certifications highly desirable
  • Trade School Certificates a plus
  • Willingness and ability to advance technical training and certification in emergency vehicle repair
  • Must have acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check.
  • Class B CDL, DOT Med Card preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
